SkitTitle - Talk Show Skit By - Jamie Rhodes Subject - Language Arts, Other Grade Level - 3-5 After studying a unit on tobacco and alcohol (or any unit) group students and have them prepare a skit about a talk show. Students need to be in groups of 4 or 5. Instruct the groups that they are to create a skit about a talk show that will include the following: a host, a doctor, a smoker/drinker (do a skit about tobacco or alcohol, not both), a former smoker/drinker, and a non smoker/nondrinker. Students are to prepare their skits using information learned during the unit. I instructed my students to prepare their skits together instead of having each individual part create their own. After practicing in their groups for 5 days, the students are ready to perform. During practice groups should plan how they will set up their set. Video groups and let them see how they did 3 - 5 08/08/07
