Welcome to the health education resource page. Here you will find resources that align with Maryland’s Health Education Voluntary State Curriculum (VSC).

The resources are divided into eight categories: 1. Mental and Emotional Health; 2. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs; 3. Personal and Consumer Health; 4.0 Family Life and Human Sexuality; 5. Safety and Injury Prevention; 6. Nutrition and Fitness; 7. Disease Prevention and Control; and 8. Teaching Ideas (this category covers all VSC topics).

Click on the standard topic in the tool bar above to view that collection. In each collection you may find lesson starters (an idea to base a lesson), assessments, powerpoints, lesson plans, links, and more.

This website’s growth depends on the contributions of those who view it. If you would like to add an idea or you have an improvement on an existing one, email the webmaster.
